Posters with the picture of Chinelle Latoya Browne, 27, have been taken down after police said that they may have found her dismembered body in a Long Island parking lot.

"It's very sad," a convenience store clerk who identified himself as Al told WCBS 880's Monica Miller, "Kill somebody, you kill them. But, what's the purpose of dismembering? It's really sad."

The Guyanese native was seen by roommates last Saturday, but didn't show up for work on Monday.

Police said that the body found on Long Island had the same tattoo as Browne.

Forensic investigators are waiting for test results to confirm the victim's identity.
