Police Search For Attempted Rape Suspect In Sunset Park

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- New York City police are looking for a man accused of attempting to sexually assault a woman in the Sunset Park area of Brooklyn last month.

Police say on July 20 around 4 a.m., the 34-year-old woman was entering her building on 16th Street when the suspect approached her and asked to be let into the building. Knowing he did not live in the building, the woman refused.

The suspect then reportedly exposed himself to her, the victim screamed and the suspect pushed her to the ground before fleeing the area.

The victim refused medical treatment on scene.
