Amy Schumer Says She Will No Longer Pose For Photos Following Encounter With Aggressive Man

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)-- A South Carolina man learned the hard way that trying to take a selfie with Amy Schumer is no laughing matter.

The comedian was in Greenville over the weekend and said she was scared when a man ran up to her and started recording video. According to the star, she asked him to to stop and he refused.

Schumer posted an image of the man on Instagram saying, "Yes, legally you are allowed to take a picture of me. But I was asking you to stop and saying no."

"I told her this is America. I said in America, when you see a celebrity, you go and take a selfie. We have selfie sticks for it and this is what our culture is," the apparent fan said in response, defending his position.

Brewer claims he apologized and stopped recording as soon as he realized she was upset. He said he's now being bullied online by Schumer fans. Schumer said because of the confrontation she will no longer pose for photos.
