PHOTOS: A-Rod Visits Capitol Hill, Meets And Greets Politicians
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Alex Rodriguez isn't playing much against the Nationals this week, but he's certainly making the most of his limited time in Washington, D.C.
A-Rod didn't start in the Yankees' loss to the Nationals on Tuesday night, striking out in his lone at-bat.
Now a full-time designated hitter -- he's played just four games at third base and one at first base in 2015 -- the 14-time All-Star is out of luck in a National League park.
But on Wednesday, ahead of the finale of the two-game series, Rodriguez spent some time with politicians in the nation's capital.
The three-time American League MVP appeared to be a hit on Capitol Hill.
Rodriguez, who missed all of 2014 after being suspended for ties to performance-enhancing drugs, is batting .248 with 10 home runs and 22 RBIs.
He's not in the starting lineup on Wednesday night.
