AG Schneiderman: Drug Pipeline From NYC To Dutchess County Busted

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said law enforcement officials have broken up a drug pipeline that was operating in New York.

As WCBS 880's Irene Cornell reported, a husband and wife allegedly ran the high-volume drug pipeline between their Washington Heights apartment and Wappingers Falls in Dutchess County.

"It was really like a 24-hour cocaine to go shop. They had a designated pick up location, storage space for inventory, and round the clock delivery personnel," Schneiderman said.

The pair are accused of taking more than 100 calls a day in orders for cocaine.

In Wappingers Falls, Michael Novick was arrested in connection with the case.

Novick's sister is on the village Board of Trustees. His brother is a local police officer.
