After-School Program Instructor Accused Of Raping 14-Year-Old Student
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An after-school worker on the Upper West Side is accused of raping a 14-year-old student.
As 1010 WINS' Al Jones reported, 22-year-old Jamal Baughan, a part-time instructor at the after-school program, allegedly raped the victim at his home on April 11.
Two days later the allegations surfaced, and Baughan was dismissed from the program at P.S. 191.
The Department of Education said Baughan is not an employee of theirs, but rather worked directly for the after-school program called Roads to Success.
Road to Success called the allegations deeply disturbing, Jones reported.
Baughan, of Manhattan, is charged with second-degree rape. He is also being investigated for improper conduct with a second student, Jones reported.
