Macy's Pays Tribute To 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' With Annual Holiday Window Display

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Macy's unveiled its holiday windows in Herald Square on Friday night.

Artists and carpenters have been working on the display since Macy's came up with the idea for a tribute to "A Charlie Brown Christmas" last year. This year marks 50 years since the Christmas special's debut.

Each window depicts a scene from the Charlie Brown show.

"It's a classic that I remember, but it's kind of reimagined," Chris told 1010 WINS' Al Jones.

"It's kind of cool. I like it. It brings us back," Janae said.

Macy's said more than 16,000 people walk by the windows every hour.
