9/6 CBS2 Sunday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Good afternoon!

Our stretch of winning summer weekends continues, and we can't ask for better holiday weather. Plenty of sunshine today with temps topping out in the mid 80s. Humidity is still on the low side, so it's feeling pretty comfy out there as well. Wherever you're headed around the region, expect brilliant weather!

Clear skies tonight with a low of 68 in the city, 50s in the suburbs. Labor Day itself is looking fantastic! Mostly sunny skies, but we bump up the heat and humidity. Temps in the upper 80s and low 90s, perfect for those BBQs! It'll be a super beach day, but just watch our for a moderate risk of rip currents once again.

The heat really kicks in for Tuesday, with a sizzling high of 92 in NYC. You'll really be feeling the humidity by midweek. Our next chance of some rain (which we really could use) rolls in for Thursday and Friday in the form of scattered showers and thunderstorms.

This may be the unofficial end of summer, but the forecast remains summer-like!
