3/5 CBS2 Saturday Afternoon Weather Headlines
By Matt DeLucia

Good afternoon, everyone! A chilly day out there with temps only reaching the low 40s. Despite the sunny start, clouds will be on the increase into the evening, ahead of a low pressure system that will pass to our south into tomorrow morning. There's not much moisture with it, but enough to spread some snow showers into the area by sunrise. Maybe a coating, especially west of the city, but that's about it.
After another cold start and some morning flakes, we'll clear out Sunday afternoon with just a lingering sprinkle and reach a seasonable high of 46 in NYC. Then we start a steady climb with the temps!
It'll be about 10 degrees warmer for Monday, and then into the mid 60s by Tuesday, with plenty of sunshine! And by Wednesday -- dare we say 70s?! Definitely looks like it, especially for those in Central Jersey. Forecasting a high of 70 in the city, which would break the daily record of 69 from 2000. A little cooler to the north and along the coast, but still well above normal.
After that, temps drop off a bit for Thursday along with our next chance of rain. But forget about that for now, look forward to the upcoming spring preview! Which by the way, officially arrives in 15 days!
Have a good one and be sure to check back soon!
