3 Up And 3 Down: Who's Hot And Who's Not In New York Sports

Taking a look at who's hot and who's not on the NY/NJ sports landscape:
THREE UP:
1) Islanders
The longer they keep winning, the longer they'll stay atop the power rankings. On Tuesday night, they defeated the Rangers for the third time in a row, and they're still three points ahead of Pittsburgh for first place in the Metropolitan Division.
2) Knicks
They've won four of their last five contests, and most recently beat the Thunder (minus Kevin Durant). Be sure to stock up on bottled water and nonperishables.
3) Devils
After a downward spiral, New Jersey's won three of four. Not bad, but it's probably too little and too late.
THREE DOWN:
1) Nets
They've played more like the Knicks than, well, the Knicks. Brooklyn has dropped 11 of their last 13 games.
2) Kyle Okposo
He'll miss the next six to eight weeks with an upper-body injury. Tough draw for him, as he'd been having a fine season.
3) Rangers
They've now lost all three games against the Islanders this season. Perhaps they'll exact their revenge come playoff time, but the Isles have already won the regular-season series.
