3 Arrested On Drug Charges After Police Search New City Home

NEW CITY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – Three men were arrested for drug possession after the Clarkstown Police Department executed a search warrant Wednesday.

According to police, the search warrant was issued because of an investigation into complaints of drugs being sold at the home on West Clarkstown Road in New City.

When cops searched the home, they found 240 individual wax envelopes with heroin, along with suboxone, drug paraphernalia and marijuana, police said.

The three men who were arrested have been identified as 26-year-old Andrew Flores, 22-year-old Victor Apolinar and 32-year-old Roger Mann.

All three were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

According to a news release from police, Flores had additional charges of possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. He was denied bail.

Mann was held on $10,000 bail and Apolinar on $7,500.

All three were taken to Rockland County Jail and are all due back in court on Monday.

To help battle heroin addiction and use in Rockland County, local police are targeting heroin dealers and trying to help addicts.

Authorities in Rockland are teaming up with the FBI and state police to shut down the heroin supply lines coming from New York City and Paterson, New Jersey, WCBS 880's Sean Adams reported.

"It's going to be done through intel, through social media, through developing these patterns of where the drugs are coming from to better identify who the major suppliers are," Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Zugibe said.
