The first real slight of Selection Sunday came about 30 minutes after the Michigan State Spartans (29-5) won the Big 10 Tournament 66-62 over the Purdue Boilermakers, which many presumed made them a sure-fire No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Well, they were wrong. Michigan State was tabbed as a No. 2 seed by the selection committee and then social media had a field day.

Bryan Altman is, for some reason, an unabashed fan of the Rangers, Jets and Mets. If he absolutely had to pick a basketball team it would be the Knicks, but he’d gladly trade them for just one championship for any of his other three teams.
