2 Teenage Boys Shot, 1 Killed, In Bedford-Stuyvesant Housing Development

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- One teenage boy was killed, and another was wounded, in a shooting Friday evening in a Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn public housing development.

Around 7:50 p.m., paramedics responded to the Marcy Houses development at 602 Park Ave. in Brooklyn for a report of two teen males shot, authorities said. One was 13, the other 16, police told CBS2.

The 13-year-old was wounded in the torso and leg, and was taken to Bellevue Hospital Center. The 16-year-old was shot in the groin and was taken to Kings County Hospital Center, authorities said.

The 16-year-old boy later died, police said. He was identified as Dantee Bastone of Brooklyn.

At least one person was in custody in the case Friday night. A motive had not been learned.
