MTA buses struck by gunfire in Harlem

NEW YORK -- Two MTA buses were struck by gunfire in Harlem on Wednesday afternoon.

It happened around 2:40 p.m. outside the Grant Houses near Amsterdam Avenue and La Salle Street.

It's not clear who or what the gunman was shooting at, but two buses, an M101 and an M100, were in the vicinity and got hit.

Police said there were passengers on the buses, but fortunately no one was injured.

The shooter took off.

M11, M100 and M101 buses were being detoured after the shooting.
