Missing 17-Year-Old Yonkers Boy With Autism Found Safe In Manhattan
YONKERS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – Police in New York say they have found a missing 17-year-old boy with autism who they feared needed medical attention.
The NYPD spotted Mel Harris of Yonkers at the Staten Island ferry terminal in lower Manhattan Friday afternoon. He was taken to a nearby hospital and Bronxville police are working to reunite the teen with his mother.
Harris was last seen around 6:30 p.m. Thursday on Palmer Road. It's not immediately known how he managed to make his way into the city.
