110th New York Boat Show Opens At Javits Center
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The New York Boat Show is celebrating its 110th anniversary.
It opened its doors Wednesday at the Javits Center and will run through Sunday.
Matt Benhoff of the Annapolis School of Seamanship will be running a number of demonstrations at the show.
"They can practice docking the boat, just maneuvering it with only the engines," Benhoff told WCBS 880's Peter Haskell.

There are more than 300 boats on the floor, including the Sea Ray 470 Sundancer, which is the queen of this year's show and costs more than $1 million.
"There is everything from kayaks and mini day sailors to personal watercraft, water sports boats, and all the way up to sport fishers and yachts," said Carrie Waible, spokeswoman for the New York Boat Show. "You can come, shop and compare boats side by side and buy your next boat at a great deal."
Bill Mudgett of Chaparral Boats agrees that this is a great place to buy.
"Everybody here is going to put their best pricing forward," Mudgett said.
