7-Year-Old Boy Shot In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A 7-year-old boy was shot in the leg in the Bronx Wednesday afternoon.

Shots were fired around 12:30 p.m. near East 137th Street and St. Ann's Avenue in the Mott Haven section as the child was walking with his grandmother.

The child was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition. His grandmother was unharmed.

Police said the suspect opened fire with a revolver and then ran into a nearby 6 train subway stop, police said. He's still on the loose.
