CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- One of four women accused in the murder of an elderly Rockland County woman faced a judge Tuesday.
Tanisha Joyner, 26, reportedly cried as she was arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court Tuesday night on felony conspiracy charges, CBS 2 reported.
Investigators allege Joyner participated in a plot to kill 80-year-old Peggy Nadell at her Valley Cottage home in January.
Prosecutors said the victim's daughter-in-law, 50-year-old Diana Nadell, hatched the plot to kill the woman for insurance money.
Diana Nadell is scheduled to be arraigned next week along with Andrea Benson, 25, who is also accused in the crime.
Eltia Grant, 24, is scheduled to be arraigned in the Clarkstown Justice Court Thursday morning.
Nadell and Benson face murder charges. All four face conspiracy charges.
Joyner's bail was set at $500,000. She was taken to Rockland County Jail and is due back in court on June 2.
