Zooey Deschanel and Jacob Pechenik are engaged

Zooey Deschanel's pregnancy isn't the only big news the star has to share.

The "New Girl" actress is engaged to producer Jacob Pechenik, her website Hello Giggles announced Wednesday.

"So, it's been a HUGE month for our amazing co-founder and fearless leader, Zooey Deschanel. First, she announced she's expecting her first child with her boyfriend, Jacob Pechenik. Then, she celebrated her birthday last Saturday. And, TODAY, she's told us that she and Jacob are engaged!" the Hello Giggles team wrote in a post. "We are SO beyond-ecstatic, and we wish them all the very, very best. We love you, Zooey! Happy wedding planning!"

A rep for the actress also confirmed the engagement news to People.

Deschanel, 35, and Pechenik, 42, said last week that they're "over the moon" to be expecting their first child together. The baby is due this summer.
