Woman jumps to her death in Baltimore, infant son also dead

BALTIMORE - Police in Baltimore say a woman has died after jumping from a parking garage. Her 5-month-old son found in her car is also dead.

Officers were called to a downtown parking garage about two blocks from the Inner Harbor around 8 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a woman jumping. Police say officers found a 33-year-old woman dead, and a short time later her son was found in a car inside the garage. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

An autopsy will determine the child's cause of death. Police didn't release their names.

This is the second death of a young child in Baltimore in as many days. A man was charged with murder after police say his 2-year-old daughter was left in a hot car.
