Which stars made the TIME 100 influential list?
Kanye West, Bradley Cooper, Kim Kardashian and Mindy Kaling are among TIME magazine's most influential people in the world.
This year's TIME 100 edition, which hits newsstands Friday, features some interesting pairings of celebrity honorees and contributing writers.
Martha Stewart, for example, writes about Kardashian: "[Kim] and her famous, entrepreneurial siblings - shepherded by a savvy, tireless matriarch - have also expanded the very definition of family. Despite the flamboyance, the self-aggrandizement and the self-promotion ... Kim comes across as an enviable big sister in a clan where everyone seems to love one another."
Elon Musk, meanwhile, chimes in on West: "Kanye West would be the first person to tell you he belongs on this list. The dude doesn't believe in false modesty, and he shouldn't. Kanye's belief in himself and his incredible tenacity--he performed his first single with his jaw wired shut--got him to where he is today."
About Cooper, Oliver Platt wrote:"It's hard to make people, especially your friends, forget who you are onscreen. But Bradley's that good. And I think we've seen only a hint of what's to come."
Other stars making the 2015 cut include recent MTV Movie Awards host, comedian Amy Schumer, as well as actor Chris Pratt, director Christopher Nolan, Oscar winner Julianne Moore and singer Tim McGraw. Under the "icon" genre are Taylor Swift and Bjork.
Of course, artists weren't the only ones on the TIME 100 list. Elizabeth Warren, Vladimir Putin and Pope Francis are also among the honorees.
