What happens after you post a video of yourself destroying a Trump yard sign?
A North Carolina man found out what would happen if he posted a video of himself flattening a Donald Trump yard sign with his car.
Among the over five million who viewed the video online were the Wilmington, North Carolina police, who investigated and then charged Julian Schuessler after he posted the 10-second video to Facebook:
According to a statement from the police, the 20-year-old was charged with a hit-and-run and reckless driving, among other infractions. He was released on citation.
With tensions rising on the campaign trail, Schuessler's video is not the only anti-sign incident to result in arrest.
Earlier this month, three men were charged after destroying a Trump yard sign in Georgia, just days after Trump won the state's Republican primary.
The three men, according to a local ABC News affiliate, had removed a "Make America Great Again" sign from the lawn of a Dalton, Georgia man. When the sign owner confronted them, he was threatened with a gun.
When police arrived at the scene, they charged one of the sign-stealers with disorderly conduct, while another with making terroristic threats, criminal trespass, and marijuana possession. One of the men, a 17-year-old, was charged with aggravated assault, possessing a handgun without a license and while underage.
