Watch: First trailer for Chris Farley documentary "I Am Chris Farley"
Larger-than-life actor and comedian Chris Farley left us with a few memorable movies and skits when he died in 1997 at the age of 33. Now a new documentary gives us a new view of how the "Tommy Boy" and "SNL" sensation touched the lives and hearts of the people he worked with before he overdosed on a mix of cocaine and morphine at an early age.
On Monday, Buzzfeed released the first trailer for "I Am Chris Farley," a documentary about his life, which sews together archival footage and new interviews. Directed by Brent Hodge and Derik Murray, the film features intimate chats with friends and co-stars Adam Sandler, Christina Applegate, Bob Saget, Bob Odenkirk and his best friend David Spade, and many others.
"I Am Chris Farley" is slated for a limited release in theaters on July 31, and on Video on Demand and DVD starting Aug. 11.
