Watch: Ed Sheeran surprises 13-year-old girl at mall for impromptu duet
Ed Sheeran has given us yet another reason to love him and wish he were one of our besties.
The English singer, who's made spontaneous pop-ups at weddings and schools, has upped the ante -- this time joining a 13-year-old girl for a duet on Sunday at a mall in Canada.
Video shows Sheeran, 24, exiting an HMV store before walking onstage to surprise Sydney Bourbeau who was singing Sheeran's hit "Thinking Out Loud" as part of her music school's fundraiser at West Edmonton Mall.
Despite her surprise, Bourbeau kept singing along -- not missing a beat.
"I was like, should I stop?" Bourbeau told The Edmonton Journal. 'I didn't want to stop, but I wanted to talk to him. This is like, the best thing that's ever happened to me."
The two finished the song together and before he left, Sheeran took a few pics with fans. Apparently, officials at the Resonate Music School had no idea the hitmaker was even at the mall.
"He happened to be there, she's singing his song...It was amazing that she was actually able to keep it together and finish," Resonate Music School president Michael Cathrea told the Edmonton Journal. "It was shock, as if she had seen a ghost."
Sheeran's manager later coordinated two tickets for the fan and her mom to go Sheeran's local show at Rexall Place.
