Wash. authorities find last victim of deadly mudslide
EVERETT, Wash. -- The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said search and rescue personnel believe they have found the last missing victim of the Oso landslide, reports CBS News' KIRO in Washington.
Molly Kristine "Kris" Regelbrugge was the last of the 43 victims to be found after the March 22 landslide.
Although the search for victims ended in April, workers have been screening debris and watching for the body of 44-year-old.
Her husband, Navy Cmdr. John Regelbrugge III, also was killed in the slide that hit their home. His body was one of the 42 recovered earlier.
The slide occurred when a rain-soaked hillside above the North Fork of the Stillaguamish River gave way, obliterating a neighborhood in Oso, about an hour northeast of Seattle.
