Video shows Dallas student's alleged attack on teacher
DALLAS -- A Dallas high school student has been arrested for allegedly attacking a teacher in an incident that was captured on cell phone video, reports CBS DFW.
Sources told CBS DFW that the 16-year-old girl was in class giving a presentation and allegedly became angry when the teacher corrected something she said.
The teenager is said to have confronted the teacher and then threw a punch. The video shows the two grappling, eventually plunging into desks.
A student posted the video on social media Thursday.
Neither the teacher nor student have been identified. The teacher says she plans to press charges.
Officials with the Dallas Independent School District said in a statement that the teacher "suffered minor injuries after being assaulted by a student."
