Two men arrested in death of La. woman found in burned car

SUN, La. -- Two brothers have been arrested in the death of Nanette Me'Shell King, a woman whose body was found inside a burned out car about 50 miles north of New Orleans, reports CBS affiliate WWL.

Gary Harris, who was the victim's ex-boyfriend, and his brother, Ray Harris, were arrested in her death, according to Sheriff Jack Strain.

King's body was found in a burned out car several weeks after she was reported missing in September, according to the station.

Deputies believe Gary Harris met King at his home on Sept. 20, where he killed her and then moved her body to the car.

The sheriff said there were domestic issues between King and Harris, who had lived together for 20 years and who have a teenage daughter.

According to Strain, King had moved out when their relationship became violent and he had convinced her to meet and divide their property. Her body was found several weeks after the Sept. 20 meeting, according to WWL.

Strain said some details of the crime "shock the conscience." He also said both men had prior criminal records.
