Police say the incident took place at Boca Salon in Middletown at around 2 p.m. Tuesday. According to TMZ, the 31-year-old Sorrentino owns the tanning salon with his family.

The gossip site also reports that the fight was between the former reality star and his brother, Frank.

Mike Sorrentino was reportedly the only one arrested and was later released on $500 bail.

A new reality show, "The Sorrentinos," featuring the former "Jersey Shore" star and his family is set to debut July 15, the TV Guide Network announced earlier this month.

In December, Sorrentino spoke to CBSNews.com about his addiction to prescription painkillers, which he sought treatment for in early 2012.
