"The Meredith Vieira Show" canceled after two seasons

Meredith Vieira is leaving the daytime talk show world.

She announced Monday that "The Meredith Vieira Show" won't return for a third season.

"I am so sorry to see our show come to an end after this season, but I am also incredibly proud of the work our staff has done and forever grateful to our supportive viewers," Vieira said in a statement about the syndicated series. "We promise to spend our final weeks producing the best broadcast we know how. And have a blast doing so!"

"The Meredith Vieira Show" debuted in September 2014.

After the show wraps season 2, Vieira will head to Rio to help cover the Summer Olympics for NBC.
