The first full “La La Land” trailer dazzles and delights
Who’s in the mood for an old-fashioned Hollywood musical?
That’s apparently the question “Whiplash” director Damien Chazelle was asking when he created his next film, “La La Land,” starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling and peppered with big, colorful musical numbers spread throughout modern-day Los Angeles.
The film won the audience award at the Toronto International Film Festival and has been garnering rave reviews from critics.
It tells the story of aspiring actress Mia (Stone) and jazz musician Sebastian (Gosling), “who are struggling to make ends meet in a city known for crushing hopes and breaking hearts.”
“La La Land” will hit theaters in December.
