"The Celebrity Apprentice" season 7 has a winner

"The Celebrity Apprentice" has a new winner.

Following eight weeks of stiff competition, and lots of firing from Donald Trump, TV personality Leeza Gibbons was crowned the winner of season 7.

The live episode, which aired Monday night, revealed the results of the last face-off -- Geraldo Rivera's team brought in $146,000, while Leeza Gibbons' crew raked in $234,000.

In all, Rivera raised a whopping $725,000 for his charity Life's WORC, but in the end Gibbons took the title. She raised nearly a million dollars, gave an impressive speech about Care Connection and snagged Olivia Newton-John for a performance of "Magic."

The episode also found Melissa Rivers stopping by for a touching tribute to her late mother, Joan Rivers, who won season 2 and had returned to mentor the contestants this season.

Ian Ziering talks "Sharknado 3," "The Celebrity Apprentice"

Earlier this month, Ian Ziering, another contender on the show, told CBS News that although he was eliminated, he was grateful for the experience -- though admits that it was hard work.

"There's a lot that goes into every one of these episodes. We worked six days a week, quite often with just five hours of sleep a night. And it's grueling," Ziering said. "It's like six weeks of sleep deprivation, physical fatigue and mental duress but it's worth it because I was able to earn a tremendous amount of money for [the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation]."

Meanwhile, if you're fan of "The Celebrity Apprentice," you're in luck: Donald Trump said it will be back for another season.
