Teen, 14, suspected of stabbing sister to death in their Calif. home

CLAREMONT -- Police said Thursday that they are holding a 14-year-old boy suspected of stabbing his sister to death, reports CBS Los Angeles.

According to the Claremont Police Department, the stabbing occurred around 5 p.m. on Wednesday when the suspect and victim were alone in their east Los Angeles home, according to the station.

Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Her identity is being withheld pending family notification. A knife was found on the suspect when he was detained.

The station reports that the investigation is ongoing as the motive for the stabbing remains unclear.
