"Taken 3" gun supplier blasts Liam Neeson
Liam Neeson recently struck up a new enemy: "Taken 3's" gun supplier.
According to Deadline, the North Carolina-based weapons company took notice when Neeson spoke out against gun ownership in a recent interview.
"There's too many f**king guns out there," the 62-year-old actor said. "I think the [U.S.] population is like 320 million. There's over 300 million guns privately owned in America. I think it's a f**king disgrace."
The company PARA USA -- which supplied guns Neeson's hit film "Taken 3" -- took notice, and now "regrets its decision" to arm the film's actors. In fact, the company is calling on the firearms industry not to provide guns to Neeson's future movies.
"[We] ask that our friends and partners in Hollywood refrain from associating our brand and products with his projects," the firm said in a Facebook post. "We encourage our partners and friends in the firearms industry to do the same."
Neeson, whose "Taken" films are loaded with gun violence, thinks guns onscreen are not a problem. "I grew up watching cowboy movies," he said. "Loved doing that with my fingers: 'Bang, bang, you're dead!' I didn't end up a killer.'"
Neeson's next film is "Run All Night" -- out March 13 -- stars the actor as an aging assassin. You can expect guns.
