Survivor slams Kim Davis for using "Eye of the Tiger"

Kentucky county clerk released from jail

The band Survivor is none too pleased that "Eye of the Tiger" was played during Kim Davis' rally on Tuesday in Grayson, Kentucky, shortly after she was released from jail.

"NO! We did not grant Kim Davis any rights to use 'My Tune -- The Eye Of The Tiger,'" Survivor wrote on its Facebook page. "I would not grant her the rights to use Charmin! C'mom Mike, you are not The Donald but you can do better than that - See Ya really SoooooooonnnnnnN!!!!!!" The post was signed "FS," for the band's frontman Frankie Sullivan, who shared the same message on his Facebook page.

Survivor co-founder Jim Peterik also took to Twitter to chime in on the usage of the 1982 song, which appeared the movie, "Rocky III."

"I have not authorized the use of Eye of the Tiger for use by Kim Davis and my publisher will issue a C&D. This does not reflect my views," he wrote.

Davis went to jail last week after refusing to issue marriage licenses in Rowan County to same-sex couples.
