"Supergirl" finally finds its Superman

"Supergirl" has found its Clark Kent.

The DC Comics-based show -- which moves to The CW this fall -- will finally introduce the superhero cousin of star Kara (Melissa Benoist) when its second season kicks off, and "Teen Wolf" star Tyler Hoechlin will be playing him, according to Entertainment Weekly.

"Greg [Berlanti] and I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages, so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is Superman," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said. "We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character."

Hoechlin will appear in the first two episodes of the new season.

"Supergirl" will air Mondays at 8:00 p.m. on The CW this fall.
