Sunday: Kellyanne Conway, Lindsey Graham, Bernie Sanders

Donald Trump officially became the 45th president of the United States on Saturday, delivering an inaugural address that scorched politicians of both parties and positioned Trump as a tribune for America’s “forgotten” men and women. So what’s next? This Sunday, Face the Nation looks ahead to the task of uniting and governing the country.

We’ll talk with Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Trump, about how the White House and congressional Republicans will order their priorities. We’ll also ask her about the combative nature of Mr. Trump’s inaugural address – will it set the tone for the next four years?

We’ll interview Sen. Lindsey Graham, R – South Carolina, who has vowed to work with Mr. Trump on several key issues while strongly stressing the need to probe Russian involvement in the 2016 election. Does he worry the new White House will undermine the investigative efforts underway in Congress and the intelligence community? And what does he think Congress’ first order of business should be?

We’ll also talk with Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who told his supporters on inauguration day to never give up and to keep fighting “as effectively and as vigorously as we can.” Sanders has challenged key nominees of the new President’s cabinet on issues like climate change and health care. With upcoming battles on Supreme Court nominees and Obamacare repeal, just how should the Democratic Party proceed?

As always, we’ll convene an expert political panel to dissect the busy news week. This Sunday, we’ll hear from GOP strategist Frank Luntz, the Hoover Institution’s Lanhee Chen, USA Today’s Susan Page, and the Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg.

It’s going to be an exciting broadcast, so make sure you tune in! Check your local listings for airtimes.
