Student charged with rape at suburban Phila. frat house

WEST CHESTER, Pa. - A suburban Philadelphia college student has been arrested in connection with an alleged rape at a fraternity house.

West Chester University student Mauricio Sanjuan-Martinez was charged Thursday with rape, sexual assault and other offenses.

Police say he's a suspect in the alleged attack on a female student around 4 a.m. Sunday at the Kappa Delta Rho fraternity house. It isn't clear if Sanjuan-Martinez was a fraternity member.

The 19-year-old Gettysburg man is jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 16.

The Kappa Delta Rho chapter at Penn State University, about 200 miles away, was suspended after photos of naked women appeared on a members-only Facebook page.
