Student believed killed in shooting at Winston-Salem State University
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- At least one person was killed and another injured in a shooting at Winston-Salem State University, officials said Sunday.
Both hurt in the shooting were believed to be students at the university, said school spokesperson Jamie Hunt in a statement.
CBS affiliate WFMY in Greensboro reports police have identified the suspected, who is still at large, as Jarrett Jerome Moore. He is not a student at the school.
The school was locked down for 3.5 hours until the campus was cleared after the shooting, beginning at 1:30 a.m.
