Steven Spielberg says Indiana Jones won't die in his new movie

Maybe famed filmmaker Steven Spielberg should've prefaced his comments with a spoiler warning, but he wants Indiana Jones fans to know that Harrison Ford's adventure-seeking archaeologist is going to be just fine.

Spielberg and Ford are re-teaming for a fifth film featuring the character -- last seen in 2008's "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" -- and the director promises that the latest outing won't be the character's last.

"The one thing I will tell you is I'm not killing off Harrison at the end of it," Spielberg told the Hollywood Reporter in a new interview.

Spielberg also says he's "super excited" about the new film, due in theaters in July 2019. "I think this one is straight down the pike for the fans," he said.
