Stephen Colbert, Kerry Washington to host Global Citizen Fest

Global Citizen Festival gets ready for 4th year

Stephen Colbert, Hugh Jackman and Kerry Washington will host next month's Global Citizen Festivalin New York's Central Park starring Beyonce and Pearl Jam.

Organizers announced Thursday that Salma Hayek Pinault, Olivia Wilde and Jackman's wife, actress Deborra-Lee Furness, will also co-host the Sept. 26 event.

Ed Sheeran and Coldplay will also perform at the concert on the Great Lawn.

The Global Citizen Festival is in its fourth year. The concert will air on MSNBC and stream on iHeartRadio and Tidal.

Fans can earn free tickets by taking actions to end poverty on the website GlobalCitizen.org. The concert is timed to coincide with the U.N. General Assembly meeting.

"I am honored to be a part of the Global Citizen Festival," said Beyonce in a statement. "It has always stood for improving the lives of people everywhere, but this year is especially rewarding as we all join focuses and utilize our talents for one goal: to end extreme poverty globally."

Past festival performers include Jay Z, Stevie Wonder, Neil Young, Foo Fighters and No Doubt.
