Stephen Colbert books another "Late Show" guest for first episode

Stephen Colbert has added another guest to his first "Late Show" episode on CBS.

The incoming late-night host will sit down with Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush on Sept. 8.

Colbert tweeted the news on Thursday, writing, ".@JebBush will be on #LSSC Sept. 8! My first GOP candidate! Luckily I do 200 shows a year, so I think I can fit them all."

Also expected to show up on Colbert's first night is George Clooney.

While at the Television Critics Association press event this week in Los Angeles, Colbert said interviewing people is one of his favorite things to do.

"I got into comedy to do improvisation. When you're interviewing people, you don't know what's going to happen, and that's much closer to how I learned my craft," he said.

Colbert will take over the "Late Show" from David Letterman, who retired earlier this year.
