Fifty years have passed since the Civil Rights Bill.
When you look at the recent decision of the Supreme Court, where they decided that a closely-held family company can in effect make the reproductive health decisions for their female employees, a male majority made that decision; the women on the Supreme Court dissented.
The decision of a woman's reproductive health should be between her and her doctor. Her employer's beliefs -- particularly religious beliefs -- should have no business on it.
The decision underscores the fact that, when it comes to women's rights, we have a long way to go in the civil rights movement.
