Steph Curry out at least three months after breaking hand
Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry will be out for at least three months while recovering from surgery on his broken left hand, the team announced Friday. Curry suffered the injury while playing against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night.
The team said that Curry "underwent successful surgery" at the Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Los Angeles after suffering a "broken left hand/second metacarpal," and that he is "expected to make a full recovery."
The team said an update on the six-time NBA All-Star's status will be provided in three months.
Curry was injured after colliding with the Suns' Kelly Oubre Jr., falling head first and landing on his hands while trying to brace his fall. The Suns' Aron Baynes fell on top of his left hand, leaving Curry clutching his wrist in pain. The Warriors eventually lost to the Suns 121-110.

The injury comes during a difficult season for the Warriors, who lost Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala during the offseason, CBS Sports reported. Curry will join Klay Thompson, who's recovering from a torn ACL, on the sidelines.
