"Star Wars: Episode VII": J.J. Abrams laments leaked set photos

What better way to respond to leaked photos than to leak a photo?

J.J. Abrams has taken a tongue-in-cheek approach to the recent string of unauthorized images to emerge from the set of "Star Wars: Episode VII."

Abrams has assembled his cast and crew in the United Arab Emirates for the filming of the high-profile sequel, and details about the plot have been kept mostly under wraps, leaving fans to gather and assemble what little clues they can about the story.

A photo was posted Wednesday on the official Twitter page for Abrams' Bad Robot production company, revealing a hand-written note from the filmmaker himself.

"I wish people would stop leaking photos from 'Episode VII.' And making ridiculous claims that the Millennium Falcon is in the movie," Abrams wrote.

The Falcon reference stems from leaked photos published on TMZ Tuesday, capturing a film crew working on a set which appears to be a recreation of Han Solo's famed space freighter.

Abrams' note at first appears to downplay the Falcon rumors, except for the fact that his message was placed on a holographic chess board that appeared on the old space ship in George Lucas' 1977 original installment.
