Solange Knowles releases two new music videos

Solange Knowles isn’t the only one in the family who can create visually stunning music videos.

Knowles dropped two new videos on Sunday night after releasing her new album “Seat at the Table” on Friday.

The singer and her husband, Alan Ferguson, co-directed the visuals for “Cranes in the Sky” and “Don’t Touch My Hair.”

“Cranes in the Sky” features Knowles, sometimes accompanied by other women, dressed in different monochromatic outfits set against varying backdrops, including scenes in the desert. In one shot, Knowles is just wearing gold body paint while she sits on a mountain.

“Don’t Touch My Hair” also has Knowles making several wardrobe changes set against a range of backdrops, this time with varying hairstyles.

On Knowles’ website, she said of the song on her website Saint Heron, “I believe that hair is incredibly spiritual, and, energetically, it really encompasses and expresses who we are. Obviously, my relationship with hair, being that I grew up literally in a hair salon, is very deep and very complex. I think that one of the things that I’m also trying to communicate through that song is the way that people see us through our hair ... So, the song is as much as what it feels like to have your whole identity challenged on a daily basis, although physically touching the hair is extremely problematic!”
