Smashing Pumpkins singer Billy Corgan is a dad
Billy Corgan is a dad.
The 48-year-old Smashing Pumpkins frontman and Chloe Mendel, a 22-year-old New York City-based artist, welcomed their first child together on Nov. 16, according Corgan's rep. They named their baby boy Augustus Juppiter Corgan.
Corgan and Mendel have been dating since 2013, according to reports. Mendel is the daughter of fashion designers Gilles Mendel and Jenny Mui.
Corgan formed Smashing Pumpkins in Chicago in 1988. The band released its ninth studio album last year.
