Shots fired at Harrisburg, Pa. police, manhunt underway

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Police in Pennsylvania's capital city say two people have been arrested and the search is on for more suspects after gunfire from a vehicle damaged a patrol car.

Harrisburg Police said an officer who was responding to a robbery call at about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday tried to stop a vehicle, starting a pursuit of four men, CBS affiliate WHP reported.

Police said someone inside the vehicle fired multiple shots at the police car at different locations, damaging the police car but not harming the officer inside.

WHP reported the shots came from the back of the suspect's vehicle.

Police said the occupants ran from the vehicle being pursued and two were captured.

Residents in the city's Uptown and Italian Lake sections were advised to remain inside their homes as authorities searched for the suspect. The shelter in place order was lifted, according to WHP.
