Shonda Rhimes moving into movies with Fox 2000 deal

After conquering network television, Shonda Rhimes is now setting her sights on producing in the movie world.

Rhimes is reportedly in talks alongside Betsy Beers to produce a film for Fox 2000 about the Dare Divas, a real-life group of female friends in Detroit committed to living life to the fullest, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The group was founded by a woman named Sheri Hunter, who devoted herself to partaking in activities that would help her appreciate life as a way to cope with the death of her husband. Hunter wrote an article about her experience as a Dare Diva for More magazine and is currently working on a memoir.

The project isn't the first time Rhimes has been involved in a major motion picture, though: She also wrote the Britney Spears vehicle "Crossroads" and "Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement." Rhimes has five series set for the fall TV season: "Grey's Anatomy," "Scandal," "How to Get Away With Murder," "The Catch" and "Still Star-Crossed."
