"Seventh Son" reunites two of Hollywood's brightest stars

"Seventh Son", a story full of fantasy, love and betrayal opens Friday

"Seventh Son" is a story full of fantasy, love and betrayal. The film is also the onscreen reunion for this year's Oscar front runner Julianne Moore and Oscar winner himself, Jeff Bridges.

In "Seventh Son," Bridges is the last warrior against the dark forces, finding and training a future hero. Bridges and Moore haven't appeared on screen together since the cult classic, "The Big Lebowski."

"You know how I know it's been 17 years," Moore said. "Cause I was pregnant on 'The Big Lebowski' and I have a 17-year-old son."

Bridges says the onscreen reunion was a joy.

"We dig each other very much," he said. "It's fun to play together, my playmate."

The film also gives Moore her first purely wicked role.

"I don't think I've ever been an unadulterated evil character," Moore said. "I mean, she doesn't soften anything anywhere, she eats babies and stuff, you know."

Betrayed by the man she loved and locked away in an underground prison, she emerges desperate for revenge.

Ben Barnes plays the young hero, struggling with darker instincts.

"The balance of good and evil is inside everybody and that fight," Barnes said. "Can you hate and kill if you don't understand what love is?"

As the forces of good and evil collide, the film barrels towards the ultimate confrontation.

"Seventh Son" hits theaters Friday.
