Sarah Jessica Parker on shoe line: "I wanted a shoe that I would be proud offering"

Parker has just signed on to star in the new crime thriller series "Busted" from "True Detective" producers Anonymous Content, which is based on the book "Busted: A Tale of Corruption and Betrayal in the City of Brotherly Love," Deadline reports. The story tells the true story of journalists Wendy Ruderman and Barbara Laker, who uncovered the stunning corruption of Philadelphia's narcotics force in 2009, which earned them a Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting.

Parker is set to star in one of the two leading roles in the hour-long show, with David Frankel ("The Devil Wears Prada," "Marley & Me") attached to direct and executive produce the pilot.

No word yet on who will star opposite SJP as her fellow journalist during the 10-month investigation.

This will mark Parker's first regular television role since her iconic HBO hit "Sex and the City," though she did guest star in three episodes of "Glee" in 2012.
